Shanklish is a typical Levantine aged cheese made from either goat milk or cow milk. Mixed with a variety of spices, Shanklish cheese is best enjoyed as a mezze appetizer accompanied with fresh vegetables.
For serving: crumble the cheese into a flat serving dish, layer it with chopped tomatoes and onions and drizzle it generously with olive oil. Serve with bread aside.
