Shish Barak

Ingrédients

  • 1 kg of strained yogurt.
  • 2 tablespoons of corn starch.
  • A little water room temperature - to dilute corn starch.
  • 1 cup of water room temperature.
  • 1/2 pack of frozen shish barak by “Terroirs du Liban”.
  • 4 cloves of garlic.
  • 2 tablespoons of dried mint.
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • Salt.


Procédure

  • Mix corn starch with a little bit of water (a little less than a 1/3 of a cup) and dilute it well. Add diluted starch over yogurt and mix well while still cold.
  • Put the yogurt mixture over low heat, add the cup of water and salt then mix frequently (every 2 to 3 minutes) to avoid decomposition. Once boiling, add frozen shish barak over yogurt and continue mixing until cooked.
  • In a side saucepan, heat olive oil then add garlic and mint. Mix for 2 minutes then add them over yogurt, mix all ingredients and serve hot.
