Lentils are the oldest pulse known to man and one of the earliest cultivated crops. Characterized by their versatily and practicality in cooking, lentils are a staple in Lebanese pantry. They are nutritious, satiating and the most flavorful of all the legumes. It is a superfood, providing an abundance of nutrients, including protein, iron, magnesium, zinc, vitamin A and B. Lentils are delicious in stews, soups and salads and combined with grains, like rice, they form a complete protein.
Lentils cook quickly and they are an excellent substitute of meat in vegetarian diets. Our whole lentils grow naturally in our breathtaking Bekaa valley and their cultivation encourages biodiversity and soil fertility.
