Galette des Rois with Orange Blossom Water

Ingredients:

 

  • 2 puff pastries
  • 1 tbsp orange blossom water
  • 100 g almond powder
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g softened powder
  • 1 egg yolk

     

    Preparation:

     

    1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
    2. In a mixing bowl, place the butter and sugar then mix using a whisk.
    3. Add the eggs and mix.
    4. Pour in the orange blossom water and almond powder and mix.
    5. Using a piping bag, fill a puff pastry with the orange blossom water and almond mixture.
    6. Using a spoon, brush the edges with the egg yolk.
    7. Cover with the second puff pastry and seal the edges with your fingers.
    8. Mark the edges of the dough with the blade of a knife.
    9. Brush the surface of the puff pastry with the remaining egg yolk.
    10. Decorate the surface with the blade of a knife and pierce the center to create a chimney.
    11. Leave to cool for 30 minutes.
    12. Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C.
